EPOS Support Engineer

iRecruit Partners are looking to recruit for an IT Operations Support Engineer to support our client with training, implementation and troubleshooting for Retail systems (EPOS and Back office) and basic level internal infrastructure (Laptops, Office 365, Mobiles).

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and update training materials
  • On-site training sessions
  • Setup and manage Back Office data
  • End-to-end testing (Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing & Troubleshooting)
  • Providing support to the daily operation of deployed EPOS systems across multiple site
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders such as Data Processing, Retail Analysts, Finance, Project staff as well as the customer to ensure the system is meeting their needs
  • Simple fault finding and repairs of hardware when necessary
  • Understanding the data / analysing data / measuring performance
  • Deploying to locations as required to support systems, conduct training of users, update supporting documentation and identify potential improvements
  • Travel – be prepared to travel to meet key stakeholders, sometimes at short notice – in the UK and abroad

Key experience:

  • Previous experience in an operational systems support type role essential
  • Site / customer service support essential
  • Retail back office operational IT systems experience – desirable
  • Understanding of how retail operational systems work – desirable
  • Understanding of data and the process – desirable
